PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The main intention of this project is to develop a TV operation jamming circuit that blocks the signals coming from a TV remote by producing power pulses from an IR illuminator to disable TV remote sensor operations. Hence, once set you can watch your own favorite channel. 

This IR blocking system is designed with a 555 timer that operates in astable mode.  In this project, IR illuminator is interfaced to the timer circuit for producing higher power pulses in the ragne of 38 KHz.

These rays disable the IR rays coming out from the TV remote. If any number is pressed on the TV remote, then the IR rays emitted from that will not have any effect on the TV  IR sensor. Thus, you can watch your own channel. 

Furthermore, the project in future can be enhanced by using powerful IR diodes such that it can be operated from a long distance.
