PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The main intention of the project is to get the passport details of a passport holder by using RFID technology.  Passport verification and checking is a time-consuming process. Thus, this proposed system reduces the passport system's processing work by providing an RFID tag to a certified person; where in such a tag contains complete passport details like name, passport number and nationality, etc.  

This system works based on the 8051 family microcontroller. The project uses an RFID reader which is directly interfaced to the microcontroller for reading the details like name, passport number, nationality, etc., of an authorized person from the RFID tag. A status button is interfaced to the microcontroller for displaying all the information of the person such as name, age, pass port number etc., on a 16*2 LCD screen. 

Upon swiping the RFID tag through the RFID reader, the reader takes the data from the RFID tag and sends the carrier singles at 125KHzs to the microcontroller.  Next the microcontroller compares the data with the previously stored data. If the data matches, then the microcontroller retrieves the information and displays it on the LCD screen.

The future scope of the project can be extended by using a finger printer module. This overcomes the drawbacks of the RFID and provides high level of security to the system.

A:  RFID card is an accessory which has got a coil and a chip for the reader for data communication. While it is placed on the RFID reader device, it gets induced power from the reader and then the data present in the card is serially transmitted to the receiver.

A:  No, more number of student attendance cannot be fed.
