PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The main objective of this project is to implement a security system witha user-changeable password that allows only authorized persons to change the password by denying the unauthorized ones while they try to enter wrong passwords.

Nowadays security system has become desirable for every organization or house. The concern is to provide security for the physical properties as well as intellectual properties of any organization. This proposed system provides a user-friendly security system for organizations and homes. This project is enhanced to operate a security system through an Android application. It also has the provision of changing the password for'n' number of times.

This project uses a microcontroller of the 8051 family and uses a rectified power supply. In thissystem, a Bluetooth device is interfaced to the microcontroller for communication. An EEPROM device is connected to the microcontroller for storing and processing password several times. A relay is controlled by a relay driver IC, which is connected to the microcontroller to activate the relay coils. The two lamps are connected to the relay contacts instead of a door for indication purposes.

If anyone entersthe passwordthrough an Android application, themicrocontroller compares this password withthestored one. If it finds both the passwords matching, thenthe lamp is turned on, (instead of the door), as an indication.Any attempt to open the door with a wrong password prompts an alert, which is actuated and indicated by another lamp.In this system, the password is stored in an EEPROM, which canbe changed any time, unlike a fixed one burnt permanently on the microcontroller.

This project in future can be implemented by interfacing a GSM modem to the device so that when a wrong password is entered, an alert SMS will be sent to the concerned authority.
