PROJECT DESCRIPTION

All the engineering, diploma and other technical students from first year to final year can get hands on experience in designing and developing various electronics projects with these real-time solder less project kits. Complete assembled project is available in image format besides real time working in audio visuals to help students to complete the experiment with ease and then try engineering skills to attempt the other free circuits. 

Night Sensing Light:

The role of power is vital in today’s world, hence power saving is equal to power generated.We unnoticeably waste power by not remembering to switch off the bulbs and other equipment.Also in daytime this leads to an unnecessary loss both in terms of consumption and economical burden.Hence this circuit demonstrates an idea on how to achieve automatic lightning on / off without human support.

This circuit explains the principle of operation of LDR (light dependant resistor). LDR is a device whose sensitivity depends upon the intensity of light falling on it. The resistance of LDR decreases when intensity of light falling on it increases and vice versa (resistance increases when intensity of light falling on it decreases). In dark or in absence of light, LDR exhibits a resistance in the range of kilo ohms, which decreases to a few hundred ohms in presence of bright light.

This phenomenon can be measured with the help of multimeter, for measuring, multimeter need to be in ohm or resistor measurement region. When you cover the LDR its resistance will very high and when you place it in light it decreases. We are utilizing this property of LDR to act as a sensor.Varying voltage drop in a potential divider is used to switch on and off a transistor for an LED to indicate the same..

Further this project can be enhanced by driving a solid state relay to make a lamp ON and OFF.

Kit Contents: Sensor, Solderless Multipurpose breadboard, Set of Components, Accessories, Motor, Wire.

 With this solderless breadboard approach none of the component is soldered, hence all the components can be used again and again to try such multiple circuits.
