PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The main goal of this project is to provide a security system for malls, banks and homes, which uses an electronic-eye-controlled system with a LDR sensor that senses the light intensity and generates an alarm for indicating thefts, and also turns on the lights.

This system is placed inside cash boxes & lockers in such a way that if a burglar tries to open the locker and uses a touch light to find the valuables, then the light that falls on the electronic eye (LDR) directs a signal to the buzzer.This project can be implemented to secure cash boxes, and lockers in banks, homes, etc., wherein the security is a major concern.

The proposed system uses a 14-stage-ripple-binary counter to sense the light intensity through the LDR. The loads are controlled by the relay driver connected to the binary counter. The buzzer is interfaced to the circuit with the help of a transistor to provide indication to the users.

If a light intensity falls on the LDR (when a person uses a light that falls with some intensity on the LDR of this circuit) then, its resistance will decrease drastically, and thus, the ripple counter activates the transistors. Furthermore, these transistors activate the buzzer and load (light) connected to the relay indicating a theft.

The future scope of this project can be augmented by implementing it by using a GSM modem and a microcontroller. The GSM modem can be interfaced to the microcontroller to send and receive SMS to the user in case of burglary.
