PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The main intention of this project is to design a load-control system that organizes electrical loads and switches the corresponding loads such as agriculture pump, domestic and industrial loads, etc., by using DTMF technology remotely through  commands from any mobile phone.

Nowadays, in  agriculture field, the loads are controlled manually as similar to the household appliances, which is quite a  difficult process for a farmer to operate as it involves swtchboards that are available at a remote  place. This system is enhanced and used for controlling the agricultural loads through a mobile phone by means of dialing the selected number of the corresponding load.

The proposed system uses a microcontroller of the 8051 family and a rectified-power supply. In this project, the mobile phone is attached to the circuit. The DTMF decoder receives the commands from the user phone to develop the digital output. The loads are controlled by the relay which is interfaced to the microcontroller through a relay driver  .

If any button is pressed from the sender mobile its generate a corresponding tone on the receiving phone and the same tone is heard at the other end of the mobile phone attached to the circuit help to operating  agricultural electrical load. This tone is called ‘dual tone multi frequency’ (DTMF) tone. The microcontroller with the help of a DTMF decoder processes the received tone. Finally, the output generated by the microcontroller controls the appropriate load.

The project in future can be extended by providing a provision of an acknowledgement message system that gives an acknowledgement message to the user by GSM technology.
