PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project is designed, for a Celsius scale based thermometer, using an 8051 family based microcontroller, for medical or industrial  applications .

Celsius is a unit of measurement for temperature named after Swedish astronomer Andres Celsius. The degree Celsius (degree centigrade) can refer to a specific temperature on a Celsius scale, for achieving this real-time scenario. An IC  LM 35 temperature sensor is interfaced to the 8051 microcontroller.

The data collected from this temperature sensor is converted to digital data using an external ADC, interfaced to the microcontroller. ADC sends the converted binary data to microcontroller, which displays the data on  an LCD duly interfaced to the microcontroller in Celsius scale.

This project can be enhanced by using a GSM module wherein all the data is sent automatically to any desired mobile phone.
