PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The main intention of this project is to control industrial loads sequentially in three modes: automatic, manual and pre-set modes by using a relays with Android application.

In industries, many tasks require some repeated operations with specified time intervals which are possible by the programmable logic controllers, but these are bit expensive for simple operations like sequential switching of loads. This project is achieved to switch the electrical loads sequentially by programmed instructions.

The proposed system uses an 8051microcontroller, and a rectified power supply.  The user can set timings of loads through a Bluetooth device interfaced to the microcontroller. In this system, relays are controlled by the relay driver IC, which is connected to the microcontroller. The lamps are connected to the relay contacts for indication purpose. A16*2 LCD display is connected to the microcontroller for displaying the information.

As mentioned above, the set mode is operated by the timers based on input time set by the user.Auto mode works on default time settings as per the program, and manual mode is operated by the user with respective touch-buttons of the Androidapplication device. All modes status is displayed on 16*2 LCD display.
